BareStage Productions is the oldest student-run theatre company at the University of California, Berkeley. BareStage offers student actors, directors, writers, musicians, and designers unique experience to practice and hone their craft outside the classroom. We pride ourselves on the pre-professional quality of our work, diversity of available opportunities, and supportive, inclusive environment. In addition, BareTroupe, BareStage's musical theatre group, provides students with opportunities to perform regularly throughout the school year.
Ada Chang is a senior at UC Berkeley. She has been with BareStage Productions since her freshman year, and is very excited and honored to "manage" it this year. Interested include horses, the sociological phenomena that is TikTok and the people who hate TikTok, and meditating on, arguing about, and ultimately NOT understanding the role of East Asians in urban dance, as an East Asian who has--at one point in her life--performed urban dance.
Olivia Dutcher is a second year from Los Angeles. This is both Olivia's second year at Cal and her second year participating in BareStage. During her first year, she was in two BareStage productions, Curtains and Carrie: the Musical).
Josie Clark is a fourth-year Political Science major with a specialization in Political Theory. Offstage, she can be found in the lab or browsing the aisles of Trader Joe's.
